Joey Scouts - waitlisted until Term 2, 2025

Joey Scouts, the youngest section of Scouts Australia, cater to children aged 5 to 8. They focus on discovery and excitement through a variety of activities. Joey Scouts engage in games, stories, and craft activities that encourage creativity and self-expression. They also participate in adventures like their first abseil or overnight camp, fostering a sense of independence and teamwork. 

  • Joey Scouts - Monday, 6.15pm-7.15pm, must be at school, aged 5-8 years old. 

 

Cub Scouts - waitlisted until Term 2, 2025

Cub Scouts, designed for children aged 8 to 11, offer a blend of fun and learning through diverse activities. They engage in outdoor adventures like camping, hiking, and nature exploration, which help develop survival skills and a love for the environment. Cub Scouts also participate in community service projects, fostering a sense of responsibility and citizenship. Through games, crafts and team building exercises, they learn important values sucj as teamwork, leadership and personal fitness.

  • Cub Scouts - Wednesday or Thursday, 6.30pm - 8pm, aged 8-11 years old. 

 

Scouts - vacancies as at Term 1, 2025

The Scout section, for youth aged 11 to 14, emphasises adventure, leadership, and personal development. Scouts engage in a variety of outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and survival skills training. They work towards earning badges that recognise their achievements in areas like first aid, navigation, and community service. The program fosters independence, teamwork, and leadership, encouraging Scouts to take on roles that help them plan and lead activities. Through these experiences, Scouts develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of responsibility. 

  • Scouts - Tuesday, 7pm-9pm, aged 11-14 years old. 

 

Venturers- vacancies as at Term 1, 2025

Venturers, for youth aged 14 to 18, are all about choosing their own adventures and taking on leadership roles. Unlike the Scout section, Venturers have the freedom to plan and lead their own activities, whether it’s rock climbing, sailing, or organizing community service projects. This autonomy helps them develop critical thinking and decision-making skills. The program emphasizes personal growth through goal-setting and earning awards that recognize their achievements. Venturers also engage in high-adveventure activities that challenge their limits and build resilience.

  • Venturers - Monday 7.30pm-9.30pm, 14-18 years of age.
